The School Board of Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) typically holds the majority of its meetings on Tuesday evenings beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Educational Support Center (400 E. Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773). Special meetings do get added from time-to-time. Therefore, please refer to the School Board Calendar for official meeting notices, dates, and times. All meetings are LIVE-Streamed for those unable to attend. In addition, all School Board Meetings are broadcast on Seminole County Government Television (SGTV). You can find SGTV on Bright House Channel 498 or U-Verse Channel 99.
Public Participation in School Board Meetings
Seminole County Public Schools has resumed in-person public attendance at its meetings. As a result, public comment will no longer be accepted by regular mail or E-mail. Seminole County Public Schools encourages members of the public to attend its public meetings and provide comments. A calendar of public meetings is available online at http://pcm.scps.k12.fl.us/.

The citizens elected to serve as members of the School Board of Seminole County are responsible for the formulation and adoption of educational policies consistent with laws governing public education set by the State Legislature. Rules and guidelines for actions are also set by the Board of Education whose members are elected by the registered voters of the State of Florida. The School Board of Seminole County is responsible for setting the district School Board policies. The Superintendent of Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) carries out the Board's policies while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the district. Our five School Board members are elected countywide. The boundaries of each School Board member area mirrors the County Commissioner districts adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Seminole County, Florida.
